Pirates!

Watched Pirates (At Worlds End) with Jamie, JF and Wk after sch. Wasted a freaking 2-3 hours waiting for the 5.30 show to start.. oMG. The show took like 2 hours 50 mins to play lar! Been so long since I watched a show like that after Lord of The Rings series. On the whole, the movie is enjoyable but compromises a little on its storyline. The interesting parts include how Captain Jack's(acted by Johnny Deep) imaginary replicas of himself replied to his questions throughout the show. The show also highlights the nature of Jack as being the person that always escapes from his problems. Captain Babossa (by Geoffrey Rush) on the other hand behaves like a siao gina/risk taker. The more risk they were going to take, the more hippy he will be...
(Perhaps he is trying to zhuai that he is immortal) lols =)

At Worlds End

Of all scenes, I like this particular part whereby this guy I duno what name, the overall in-charged of the English or Dutch Fleet, he was like engaged in battle with the Black Pearl and the other Ghost Ship. Then miraculously, he can walk on his ship without getting BOMB by any 1 cannon while his crew were almost all slain. He then slides down the escalator after he walks out from his cabin. ITs damn amazing how the CGI is done.. WATCH IT PEOPLE!

200 pounds beauty

Been quite busy recently and finally got time to rest slightly for today. Watched 200 pounds beauty.. quite touching until i teared..(never knew that I could be emo as well)

On the whole its 1 awesome movie. =)

Synopsis
The show features the pursuit for perfection as told from Hanna's perspective. Hanna is a kind-hearted soul that doesn't appeal much in terms of physical appearance. In contrary to her clumsiness and plumpish aspects, Hanna is blessed with the voice of an angel. Putting her talents to good use, she sings on behalf of singers who got the looks yet horrid voices. Hanna slowly begins to long for the spotlight as well as the attention of Ammy's handsome producer, Sang-jun.

In an innate urge for acceptance and love, Hanna decides to undergo plastic surgery. After a year, Hanna re-appears with a captivating new look and passes off as a Korean-American singer named Jenny. In attempt to eradicate her old image, she became a different person that disacknowledged her friend and father. The show concluded with Hanna apologising to all her fans in the concert and they accepted her for who she is.

my thoughTs
Many of the times I find people trying to be someone that they are not. Sadly, I do belong to this group recurrently. In order for acceptance, we change ourselves. But are we feeling the happiness from our heart truely?

There may be also times whereby we commented on how others look, gossip about their lives. If we had stepped a step then and think, would anyone want to be fat and ugly? Would anyone want to be disgusting and feel ashamed of themselves. If theres anyone that says a YES to these question, then I can only hope that he/she could at least be happy.

Perhaps we should stop looking at whats on the surface and start knowing others through their hearts. Perhaps we should consider our demeanour first before we judge on others.. =)

Something extra for my dearest Friends

Well... I am sure that we have always felt something like this " Why is life so unfair? Why am I always the unlucky one? For instance, today hasn't been smooth for me. Nonetheless we still move on with our lives with our bits and pieces of grumping. However, if we continue with the way we may be now, it is only inevitable that we will grow up to become a pessimist.

Think about it, what is good when we live in a world without bad. How will happiness feel like if we don't have something called sadness? To me, sometimes life is just like 2 sides to a coin. There are definitely good & bad, ups and down. I am sure that all of us here hope that our life can be the way we want it to be. Some may want to be rich, some may want certain things in life. But my point is, "Would life be as fun if everything follows according to what you planned?"
The answer would undoubtedly be a NO!

Since we can't control the obstacles that we may meet in our life, why ain't we looking at it from a different perspective?

Solution: Become a optimist! A optimist is someone who see opportunities in every disaster!

1. Say something positive about yourself and people around you everyday!
2.Be courteous. Always say "please" and "thank you"
3.When things go wrong, take it on the chin and move on. Identify and implement the key learning points from the failure, but do not dwell on the situation.
*Taken from some newspaper article

*Optimists smile 38% more than Pessimists..

If by doing this little acts each day can make a whole lot of difference to our lives, why shouldn't we be doing them? Although I not able to fulfill these acts fully, I have been trying and will keep on trying.

my 1st BLOG ENTRY

WHOOOOOOOO.. I made my 1st BLOG entry!!! hahas.. though still really sure how this thing works, but I strongly believe that I will IMRPOVE.. the very first thing I going to talk about shall be FOOD..=)

wahahas.. Went to michelle's workplace with weekiat.. so romantic right? 2 guys... fusion restaurant... omg! *what am i saying!!! But seriously the food there is nothing but such gratifying delicacy!! We ordered the Hawaiian pork chop under special recommendation by mic. To kick things off, the plain water served has a faint aroma of lemon within. However, mic was so busy that it took pretty long for her to see us! hahas.. poor mic..

Finally, It became the highlight of my day as the long awaited main course was placed before my very eye!! Enticing placed on my plate was 3 pieces of tender grilled meat with some beanspout dressing i suppose. The heavenly scent filled my nostrils before I began my scrumptious meal. I guess most of us wouldn't wait a second to gobble up the mouth-watering meat straight away. However, I chose to have the broccoli first. Little did I expect the broccoli to be flavoured! It was kinda shocking for me especially that the dressings I had so far were all tasteless. The broccoli boiled with the meat juices blended perfectly! (I mean i can just eat this for the rest of my life! hahahas)

Next up is the porkchop! The taste was so well marinated that I really dunno how to describe it. I aint kidding! This is really the best pork chop I had in my life! Or was it that the other pork chops were too horrible? hahas.. Perhaps its just that my expectation from a porkchop isnt that HIGH.. hahas.. The haiwaiian chop also came with a slice of pineapple. To many I think it would probably serve as a decoration or something? However, the pineapple does serve a BIG use for me. Whenever, the taste of the pork chop gets a little mild, a small serving of the pineapple slice does the Trick! The dish was so marvelous that I decided to slowly enjoy this masterpiece by the brilliant chef there!

Well so if anyone of you guys are convinced by my experience, do visit mich's workplace at suntec's Olio outlet. And if you do visit there and find that your visit is a waste, dun come find me! =)
